I have had my PC for about 10mths and suddenly it froze, with the screen still on but the keyboard and mouse not working. I had to do a hard shutdown to turn off and then rebooted. Computer loads up but again no mouse or keyboard working. I have tried plugging other things into USB but none are working. The lights on the keyboard and the mouse flash and come on as soon as the power is switched on but go off shortly after. I cant go into Bios settings or anything because of the lack of keyboard. Any Ideas?

Solution
Disconnect from mains and pull the cmos battery for an hour.

This will make it think it has had a bios crash and reinitialise, may take 3 power on/off until it kicks in.

Once done, enter BIOS (hopefully if usb working) and do all your settings.

If that fails, time to RMA the motherboard.

Thank you. I tried that and the Bios screen came up with the options
Load optimised Bios and Boot
Load optimised Bios and Reboot
Enter Bios

I tried the first one, it restarts and then still doesnt work.

Any ideas?
