Well, maybe you folks can assist me and hopefully. I finally received all my PC parts and I got everything installed windows included and was up and running just fine, then I restarted trying to get to the bios in order to over clock the CPU. Well much to my dismay the PC rebooted and gave me a single post... no worries I suppose. After the second reboot it gets into windows just fine. So I reboot again trying to figure out if I can get into the bios again. Now the PC continually restarts sp I start removing peripherals and discover if the key board is disconnected it boots up.

No problem I buy a new key board and boot the system. New key board works great... till the reboot. Now its doing the very same thing with a brand new keyboard. I have no idea what I did wrong here. Its windows 8.1 and its the new x99 chip set.

I have reset the cmos by using the reset cmos button at the back of the board in a variety of ways. Power off reset cmoc button.... unplugged and reset cmos, all roads seem to lead to the sate issue. Its a gigabyte g1 gaming WiFi motherboard and I am at a loss as to what else could happen? Anyone have some steps I can try out and see what's wrong here?

a lot of newer bios have quick boot now and use a small program to enter bios at post or have you change setting from inside windows now. the other issue is with newer mb and cpu that have built in video that both of them are on now when the rig is first turned on. when that happens most time the cmos boot screen on the onboard video and not the other gpu.
so by the time the other gpu turns on it too late to hit the right key to get into the bios.

I will check on that but I think this mobo has fast boot into this system rather than fast bios jumps I think. I will check it has dual bios as well I didn't think of that till now but I will check into it.
