Hello. I have an HP ENVY 17t-j100 Quad edition running the preinstalled Windows 8.1. I bought an Samsung 840 EVO, and used the software that came with the SSD to copy windows onto the SSD. After copying windows, my computer still booted into the HDD. Here is a list of things that i have tried and what went wrong with them. Legacy support is enabled in my BIOS while Secureboot is disabled. I heard that HP blocked instalation of operating systems on Msata devices, Is there a way arond this?

•I tried doing a fresh install of Windows 8.1, but I don't have a Windows product key. Neither HP or Microsoft helped me.

•I tried using a program RW Everything to get a product key, but the iso making program wouldn't accept it. Her is the website.

•I tried using EasyBCD. It simply did not work. I still booted into th HDD.

•I tried changing the boot order in the BIOS, but the SSD was not in the BIOS.

•I tried getting a boot manager plop boot manager with BOOTICE, but in BOOTICE, the option for Plop is greyed out. I have not actually put plop boot manager on a cd yet. If anybody knew how to install it on my HDD, it would be great.

•I tried disabling acceleration in Intel Rapid Storage, but the directions didn't work.

•I tried installing my WIndows 8 CD from my previous laptop. The product key didnt work.

Please help me, I have been trying to boot into the SSD for hours. If you can help me do any of these correctly, I will appreciate it.

First of all how is the SSD Connected to the laptop? Is it inside the laptop or though a USB adapter?
