Is it safe to use a desktop in a garage, if not, how can I make it safe?

I have a desktop I bought about six months ago, it cost me about $1700 so I want to make sure it lasts me a good five years, and it stays in peak condition. I've recently had to move my toys into the garage for personal reasons, but was told by several friends that this could cause it some wear and tear. I live in Florida, so I was warned against humidity, as well as heat, and other factors such as the garage not having good ventilation, AC, etc.

Do you agree with these warnings, and how can I avoid any problems? I've been recommended to buy an air purifier, dehumidifier, and find a way to regulate the temperature better (Though I have no solution). What would you all recommend?

Solution
Dust filters on all the areas from where dust can enter the system, like air intake spaces/ fans. How can the garage be humid? If room temps are consistently 30C+, then I'd get a good custom water loop to keep temps under control, which'd cost less than an A/C.
