I've done a build with Entho Luxe case and using a NZXT Sentry LX fan controller (controls the fans on a MO-RA3 radiator).

I would like to connect the fan hub to one of the channels on the NZXT Sentry controller but when I connect the 3pin connection (the fan hub is 4 pin but does have a 3 pin "guide") it doesn't work. I've test the cables and controller and that seems fine, disconnect all but one fan (hopefully ruling out a power issue) but getting nothing.

I did have to make a 3 pin female to female fan lead but I just connected the colours like for like.

Any ideas?

OK, think I have progress on this - the problem was trying to controller noisy fans and it would seem the fan hub does have certain limitations.

The suggested way connect fans is via the CPU PWM, you would think this would controller ALL fans on the fan hub.. no it doesn't. It only controllers the light brown fan connector on the fan hub, all other fans run at full speed.

So in the case there are 2 x 140mm fans and 1 x 200mm (the 200mm by default is controlled by the PWM). So I have a couple of options -

-> keep things as is with noisy 140mm fans at full speed
-> split everything off the PWM but that would mean different fan types / speeds controlled by PWM
-> connect the 2 x 140mm fans (and indeed the 200mm if had the free channel!!) to the NZXT controller and leave the 200mm on PWM <- this is my preferred option.
