Admirable
If it's for gaming you can make a better gaming machine for less money.

I would change the case, the reviews for that case are bad. The power supply is also not a good model and should be avoided. Unless you have high impedance headphones or are using the PC for sound editing etc. the sound card is probably overkill.

I was wondering if the Apevia cases are nice, also are ASUS sound cards reliable?

At the moment, what would balance out the motherboard? The 290 series?

Would a 770 do the trick because 780ti is way more expensive than 770, maybe even 760 or 750ti

okay if i chose the z97 board with a 770 or 780ti, would i be able to run games like bf4 or Star Citizen at 60fps on regular graphics?

You may have been confused a little bit, what i mean is that while your system you selected is going to run games on good settings, the build is just too imbalanced, if you got a i7 4790k with a z97 board, the money saved will enable you to get a way better gpu, like a 780ti or r9 290x, this will let you play at ultra as the card you chose will only let you play on high comfortably. So by downgrading the cpu a bit, we are making the graphical part, which is the most important part in a system for gaming, more powerful and a all together more balanced build, also, you should wait for the new 900 series to be released from nvidia this september as they will be cheaper and offer same performance

Ok thank you for clarifying i was getting a bit confused. In terms of performance, do you think a 780ti or 290x would be better? Or nvidia and AMD in general

780ti is better, no doubt, nvidia tend to have the better cards, amd cards draw more power but are value for money more, even with the 780ti and r9,290x, the 780ti is only ahead by 15fps at most during some games and yet the price difference is like $100-$150, but wait for 900 series to be out, they will be more powerful I hear and also will drive down the 780ti prices so you can get a cheaper 780ti :)

Ok cool, and do you think ~2000 is a moderate price for this build, a bit more if i switch out for 780ti, for a build on a website? Compared to a Build-It-Yourself price. Also the 900 series comes out around the 19th, so prices for the 780ti should lower soon! :)

That would be sweet! Only problem is, me being 14, I cant pay you myself and my parents only trust computers from companies, so that probably wouldn't work :(
