My new system will be a cheap, lasting one. but upgradable in future with good gpu around $100-120, with 550watts psu, n increase ram to 16gb for gaming purpose.
now to main topic,

I am waiting for the g3258 processor to be available in my country which is expected to come near year end. reason i got interested as i read it is good for gaming as well compare to other haswell G series processor n near i3 too.
Today, I was comparing it spec with G3240 on cpuboss site , it said that G3258 dont support 1600mhz ram while G3240 does and G3258 ranking was little higher.

my plan of motherboard is normal of asus or gigabyte when i buy the processor along with ram, casing n others.
i am not a regular gamers n will not always have time for it. but i would still like to have a system which i can update in future with this processor to play most of the game, until i go for broadwell after two years or three.
but i do mutlitasking with downloading, streaming, uploading, windows live, browsering, working on docx, exsl, and few more things as well along with watching movies in 1080p resolution. on my current system.

so keeping this should i go for G3240 which is availble now or wait for G3258. also i will be getting DDr-3 1600mhz ram of kingston vaule select or cosair value select or vengence. they is price differences on them. so also suggestion on them too.

These days overclocking can be as easy as ticking a box, with Gigabyte you just turn it on try a setting and if it fails the system disables it after a reboot. The fact is that the 58 is a K model meaning it is unlocked for overclocking so not really a warranty issue.

I have the same strategy, buy a low end cpu and upgrade it later when there are loads of 2nd hand faster ones on eBay.

Memory is still very expensive, chances are you will be fine with 8gb for now and get 16gb later unless you have a specific app/game that needs it.

Where I would spend my money is on an SSD or SSD Hybrid, I just got a hybrid because I needed at least 2TB, it has made my PC fly compared to before.
The G3258 actually can use 1600Mhz RAM, but only after you set it up in the Bios. Regardless, it doesn't really matter since the gaming performance difference from 1333Mhz RAM to 1600MHz RAM is tiny, like 1-2 fps assuming you have a dual channel configuration (pretty standard on all modern motherboards).

The Pentium G3258 is the better CPU, as the main advantage is overclocking. It's a decent CPU at stock for budget builds, but an OC is required for higher-end gaming. At stock, non-OC speeds the highest GPU I'd pair it with would be an R7 260X or GTX 750, to waste as little performance/money as possible. Overclocked it could be bumped up to a GTX 760 or R9 270X. Don't get me wrong, the average framerates on the G3258 are great. It's just the minimums that suffer, and it's only the minimums that can hold high-end GPUs down.

that great that i can change the ram setting in bios. but will it heat up the processor faster if i make it run on 1600? yes i will be going for pair stick rather than single one.

also i never overclocked so i will not take chance with it, as i dont think overclock will be covered in warranty if i mess up. As i dont believe i will get it pre overclock.

second thanks for the gpu suggestion i will consider them for next year.

what abt ram type is kingston value select equal to cosair value select as in price kingston is little cheaper than cosair n both are cheaper than vengeance.

ok thanks you both i will try to wait some more than :)
