So i bought this laptop last year, its a hp pavilion touch smart, model number:15-b154ee. It was working fine for the first 8 months, and then suddenly my wifi wont work, and by wont work i mean i cant even use the wifi feature on my laptop, all my drivers are up to date, i went into the bios and reset everything to default, i tried literally everything i can, i even tried to force start the wifi connection/network adapter using msconfig but nothing worked, its is extremely frustrating and i cant handle this, im asking you guys because if this doesn't get fixed soon enough i will probably end up smashing the laptop (i have some anger management problems ). The only thing the computer allows me to do is use an ethernet cable, weirdly enough i cant even use an ethernet cable, even when i plug one in there still no internet connection, the network adapter is Ralink rt3290 bgn, im in my senior year and i really need to use my laptop for assignments and stuff, so please help me ASAP. BTW im using windows 8.1.

on newer laptops check to see if the wifi is turned on some laptops you can turn the wifi card off with the funtion key and another key. also look on the side and bottom of the unit for wifi/ethernet on/off switch. some laptops have switches not to turn them off to save power. on a reg pc with both the wifi card and ethernet port go into ethernet devices and disable the wifi connection and reboot. on reboot the ethernet port should work fine if there not hardware failure. if your handy or close to a hp repair people (not best buys). have them check that the wifi card still seated. there a door on the bottom of the laptop. take the battery and ac power off the laptop..open the door see if the card still locked in.

Thnx for the fast reply, i tried turning on the wifi then turning it off billions of times, i some times have to pray for 30 minutes before turning on the laptop for the wifi to work, sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't, i will check if the network card is still in place and will reply shortly.
