My Lenovo y510p that I have had for only a few months will not boot. The only boot options I have are IPx4 and 6, and in BIOS no HDD or anything is detected. I may have jarred the laptop and loosened something. Any suggestions?

So your laptop will physically turn on (POST) but won't boot to Windows?

What version of Windows do you have - stock Win8 or Win7?

Yep. Stock Win8.

Try burning an Ubuntu live usb and see if it will boot to that. If it does, don't install it. If it doesn't, your BIOS is probably messed up, you're SOL, and your laptop is FUBAR'd.

Hey just had this problem, I would use the Lenovo onestart key as it is the easiest way to get the boot menu. Once there check and see if your Main hard drive is even being detected. The IPV4 message means its looking for a network because it cant find your hard drive. If your hard drive is not located, long story short you need to send it in.
yes I realize I'm a little late but I've already typed this much
Cheers.
