Hello everyone.
I am interested in upgrading my gpu,currently i have sapphire 6770 and initially i was interested in getting the nvidia 750ti (2gb) because my psu is only 500 watt 80% efficient and the gtx requires only 60 watt.I can also buy the AMD R9 270X(2gb) because there are respectable differences in benchmarks but i dont know if my psu is enough as the 270x requires a lot of power.I cant buy a new psu as well because my budget is tight.On one hand the 750 ti is based on the brand new maxwell architecture and is a safe choise for my pc cause of the power problem,on the other hand the 270X gives an average of ~15 more fps from 750 on high settings but i dont know if my psu can handle it.Also i found that the 270 requires less power than the 270x and the difference in fps is about 5-8 fps.So my question is not which gpu is the best but which gpu is appropriate for my rig(psu)

270x -> 175 €

Do not pay too much attention to synthetic benchmark differences unless you play one game exclusively. Such differences are not apparent in actual gameplay.
Tom's hierarchy chart shows the cards to be in adjacent performance tiers.

And... your psu is a tier 5 (not recommended, replace asap) unit on this list:

Best not to overstress it.

Thanks for the answers but i dont think ill be replacing my psu anytime soon.From what i know Nvidia will soon release the next series so maybe i should wait for a maxwel card , like the 750TI which doesnt require a lot of power, but even so the prices may decrease a bit cause of the new ones be released.

Can i go with the R7 265? Its just 10 euros more expensive than 750-ti and is better in most games. From what i saw my psu can handle its power consumption but i dont know for sure.Between the 265 and 270x should i go with the safer choise (265) or even the 750ti? I dont want to risk my pc frying cause of power problems
