I have a 500W PSU and am planning to buy a Sapphire R9 270x. The problem is that I have only one Molex output from my PSU, and the graphic Card requires 2 molex slots.

Can I use a Molex Splitter to power my graphic card? Will it function properly? And if not, how many Watts should an ideal PSU have (for my gpu)?

Thanks!

Its a local make, a brand named Foxin. You have probably never heard of it. Its maximum output is 500W, and has no PCI connectors. But my R9 270x comes with two Molex to 6-pin PCI connectors. According to Cooler Masters PSUEngine2, my whole set will require 402 W minimum (http://www.coolermaster.outervision.com/PSUEngine2). All I'm asking is whether using molex splitter deteriorate the performance of my graphics card even though I have sufficient wattage?

Thanks
