PSU Installation How?

Let's just say that in my build the case came with the PSU, so I did not have to install it at all. I was just wondering how hard is it to install a PSU? Where does the PSU go? Does it screw into something? Where do the cables come from? Can different cables be bought for different PSUs?

This is just out of curiosity, as my PSU is fine for my mild command-line-interface web server purposes.

Most psu's are standard ATX format, differing only by length and wattage.
They attach normally via 4 screws from the outside of the case to the back of the case.
A psu will come with many cables of different types. You will normally use about 3/4 of them, and the rest are left dangling.

PSU's are easy to install, they just screw onto the case.
Mostly to the back unless it is a really custom design where you will see it at the front with a lead cable to the back. The power cord is always at the back though.
Cables can only be bought for MODULAR PSU's those are the ones with unpluggable cables. Cables come from inside the psu and are plugged into capacitors to change wall current into PC friendly current. That is pretty much all a PSU does.
