Hello all,
I have a pair of 4gb (each) sticks of Corsair Vengance RAM (if you would like the full name of them: Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B)

I have an ASRock 970 extreme4 mother board. Overall I know very little about properly over clocking my hardware. Every time I have put these in they run for a bit and everything seems fine, but then suddenly after a while my computer crashes or things start to act strange (flickering screen, super long loading times, stuff like that).

I don't know if its the RAM having issues or if the settings they are on, maybe they are corrupted, or possibly its my motherboard acting up.

Please Help!!
-Ollie

The gold standard for testing ram is memtest86+.
Run for a couple of full passes. You should get NO errors.

So after 14 hours, memtest86+ came up with these results:

Time- 14:56:22
Errors-1,262,336
Test- #9
Pass- 7

What is the next step?

It is RMA time. Contact Corsair and tell them the memtest results.

If you want, run memtest on each stick individually to identify which stick is bad.
You could also test a good stick in each slot to exclude the possibility that you may have a bad motherboard ram slot.

You might also check to see if there is a bios update for your motherboard that might address the issue.
CPU-Z will tell you your current bios level.
DO NOT update bios on speculation, only if it will fix your problem.
A failed bios update can permanently brick your motherboard.
