My internet a few days ago was http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3709283489, but now it is http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3741080507... Any idea why this is? (also how to fix it)..

Since you are close to the router, have you tried a wired connection? You didn't answer if anybody else could be using your bandwidth? Neighbor, roommate, etc? Usually a drop like that is a P2P user somewhere taking all the available bandwidth. Does your router have any tools to show you the used bandwidth?

Well the router is password protected. I have tried a wired connection both to the router and to the modem, the wired connection to the router does nothing, and the connection to the modem just can't identify the network, so that doesn't work either.

Hmmm.... since you say "the router is password protected", that says that YOU aren't really in charge of this network. Consequently, it is possible that whoever IS in charge has limited YOUR bandwidth. This sounds like a "political" rather than a technical issue.
