So I am building a new gaming PC, and transferring my old hard drives over to carry over all of my data and not have to buy a new OS. Well when I boot the pc everything works until it gets to the windows loading screen, and then it gives a blue screen and automatically reboots. Following this is does a system scan and cannot find the source of the issue. I can take the hard drives and put them back into my old rig and it boots perfectly fine.

Solution

Not true.. depends if it Retail version of windows (you can move) or OEM (you cant).

to OP.. you need reinstall windows.. it cant start on new PC as it does not have required drivers avail for mobo.. it does that at the install time..

Cheers
