Trying to update my BIOS. I have a 2007 p5ne sli Motherboard.
Windows 8 here, and since ASUS only updated EZ flash to Win7, the software utility from ASUS doesn't run(at least Win8 is why I think is isn't running as I have chosen the correct 64 bit .exe). So I am trying to run the built in EZ Flash from my BIOS.
I have a FAT32 formatted USB stick (FAT32 is the M.B. manual stipulated format) with the BIOS bin file 1406 (latest). When I boot into my BOIS it has never been updated and is at 0401. After I run the EZ flash utility it gives me :
A:
C:
But it is not loading the USB drive as an option. However my USB stick is recognized in the BIOS under removeable media, it names it specifically.
All types of USB support is turned on in the BIOS. My USB stick is plugged into an onboard USB 2.0 port. The manual specifically says this is the correct procedure to flash the BIOS using this method.
What can I try next?
