CPU Temps (I'm worried, but maybe overreacting?)

Hey all, not sure if this is supposed to be in systems, cpu, or somewhere else, but anyways my question (or concern rather) is, I'm freaking out right now because my AC stopped working, and currently have my case panels off with a 20" fan blowing on my PC to keep as cool as possible. When I first had it up and running the temps were roughly "25 - 32" across the board (4 cores) and all was hunky dory, but now in this heat it's currently idling between 34 - 46 across the board, with max temps of "66, 69, 66, and 63" and from the guide I read the max temp (or something like that) for this processor was 77....

The max temps were happening just editing photos in Paint.NET. I've had to loosen the water cooling unit so I could re-apply thermal paste correctly (because I was worried I didn't do it right the first time) but I seem to get higher temps when I re-did it, or maybe it's just because of the broken AC, hot arse apartment.... anywho the program I'm using to monitor temps is RealTemp, and the specs are:

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.0Ghz
RAM: Corsair 16GB GDDR5 (1600Mhz)
GPU: (s.c.) GTX 780 TI (2-way SLI) 3gb
HDD: 500GB SSD / 2TB HDD
MOBO: Asus Maximus VI Extreme
COOLING: H320 Swifttech water cooler

P.S. no overclocking has been done to it, just set memory to run at 1600 (since that's what the cards frequencies are supposed to be). that's about it.

Just curious if these temps are "Way too damn high!!!" or average/normal, and I'm just panicking for nothing? or what. Uhh "ambient" temps are usually 55-60F in the apartment but right now it's running 75-80 probably?

77 for cpu is a tad close to 80, anything over 80 is bad, I'd imprive airflow

the 77 I was implying was from this guide for 4th gen i7 processors:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1808604/intel-temp...

The cpu temps currently are CPU0(34-37) CPU1(30-32) CPU2(33-35) CPU3(34-35)

Those are the temps it's currently going between. The 75-80F degrees I was talking about was room temperature.

And what are the temps when it's under load?

I'm not really sure, it's newly build, few days ago haven't really tested it. I just know that today the temps reached, 66/69/66/63 (looking at RealTemp, it still says that, so it hasn't gotten any higher thankfuly) but I think other times when the apartment was running 55-60F room temp, the CPU temps under "load" were probably high 40s, mid 50s at most?

Temps are fine then, nothing to be worried about

ok, phew. I'll just keep my OCD eyes monitoring the temps still though until monday when maintenance can fix the AC (probably just needs filter replaced). thanks legend for easing my fears ^_^

Np, as I said before, only when the temps get over 80 do you need to worry

okay just used RealTemp + Prime95 to do a 10 min stress test. Max load or 99.9% max temps were: 74/77/75/70
that's about right I think? So yeah over 80 I'll remember that. Thaks again legend (sorry I'll stop replying now) lol
