I'm having the issue today where the quality is worse than VGA, using a HDMI cable. I've already tried a second cable, which works perfectly elsewhere, so it's not that. I'll post my specs now..

GeForce GTX 770
Intel Core i7-4820K CPU @ 3.7GHz
16GB Corsair RAM @ 1333MHz
MSI X79A-GD45+
Watercooling of some sort :3
1TB HDD + 128GB SSD
Windows 8.1

On the Nvidia control panel, under display>change resolution it says "Connector DVI - PC Display" when I'm not using DVI, nor am I using a HDMI to DVI converter, or vice versa. Both ends are HDMI in the TV and the PC. The resolution is 1920x1080. The screen is fine, there's no under or overscan, it's just really poor quality. I've got ClearType on with Windows, I've ran out of ideas of what else it can be. Am I missing some settings in the Nvidia control panel as to why it's so blurry? Please help, been trying to sort this for 4 hours now.
