i have had graphics card issues on my laptop until one day my laptop wouldn't boot, when i say wont boot i mean nothing. i looked for a solution for weeks but no luck.
I then remembered a friend who had an xbox that wouldn't start unless he manually forced the fan to stop allowing it to heat up before he could get it going again. I tried this on my laptop and it worked however i can't play games(which obviously uses graphics card to max).
Has any body seen or heard of this dilemma as im at a lost, any feedback on this would be much appreciated

Many laptop had similar issues and several had replacements issued. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer to see if they will replace it?

unfortunately i bought it second hand and as for replacing the GPU(which i'm sure is the problem) it's integrated into the motherboard which makes it very difficult and expensive to replace.
strange thing is after stopping the fan to get it on, day to day tasks such as web browsing work fine.if i hadn't of thought to make it overheat, it probably have been a write off.
I would like to know if many people come across as couldn't find anyone with similar problem.
