Hi, I need to move my files and programs to a new Raid 10 array.

The array consists of 4 WD caviar blue 1tb and my current drives are a Samsung 840EVO (250gb) for a boot drive and a single WD caviar blue 1tb with programs and files.

What i need to know is how to safely transfer these files and programs without breaking file paths or programs. Do i need a certain program or just copy and paste the things?

Thanks for any replies

Are you only wanting to move the 1TB data or it plus the SDD? The 1TB should be pretty straight forward if the OS is on the SSD.

Copy the files on the 1TB, un-plug the 1TB and then force the drive letter of the RAID to be what the old 1TB was.

This is a bit complicated if you've never worked with making images.
What you'll need to do is create 2 LUNs on the RAID to correspond to the 2 physical drives you had before then clone the image of the ssd to one LUN and the image of the hard drive to the other.
If you are still going to use the SSD for boot, then follow kanewolf's advice.

the 1tb has files and programs, it did originally have the OS but i have used paragon migraton tool to move the os over. I am sorting out some minor issues i have in a private message. Then i will try to move the contents of the WD HDD (1tb) over to the new raid array.
