Hello pc community, i am new to the pc building scene and for the past three months i have been researching and studying different parts and combinations, and this is the final list that i decided to stick with:
CPU AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core

CPU Cooler Scythe Mugen 4 79.0 CFM

Motherboard Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+

Memory G.Skill Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

Video Card EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Superclocked ACX

Case NZXT Phantom (Black/Green) ATX Full Tower

Optical Drive Sony DDU1681S-0B DVD/CD Drive

but the only part that i still can't decide on is the power supply, the option that i was considering is the corsair RM 550 watt fully modular, now i know that most of you will recommend to simply visit a wattage calculating site, and i did, and according to the sites i have visited 550 watts is enough, but i'm still paranoid about it, so if you can please give me your opinions about the power supply it'l be awesome, thank you in advanced.

PS: i'd also appreciate it if you can give me your opinion about the list in general, if i should replace anything but stay within the budget (950$).

Seasonic G series 550w model. Plenty of power with headroom to move up to a GTX 770 if needed and one of the better units on the market. PCPartpicker shows it cheapest at Amazon. $79 with free shipping.

Oh and before someone comes along recommending a Coolermaster Hyper 212 cooler ( someone always does! ), the Mugen is a superior product. Scythe coolers are very good for the money. The Mugen will be 5C-7C cooler than a Hyper 212 Evo.
