Hi can any one tell me how to overclock the following CPU. Intel Core i5 4690k with Asus Z97-A S1150 I'm new to building PC and was wondering it there is any step by step videos or forums.

What would be a safe limited to overclock to? would there be a noticeable difference in performance and gaming?

Will it make a difference to the graphics?

Is there a way of making the system boot up faster? Going to be running windows 7

I have a Coolmaster Evo 212 as a CPU cooler

Thanks :)

Somewhat generic, but can get you started

basically it's just take your time as you take it up and monitor your temps. I'd say in general 4.4 anyway and can go up even further, have seen 4.8 on the A mobo

Could you use the 5 way optimisation tool or would you just go through the bios.

I pretty much just use the BIOS, but for newcomers to OCing, liek what the auto OCing offers, as it allows users to see what the auto OC changes to get an idea of what needs to be changed and can help you get to a 'preset OC' and then fine tune it from there
