First of all, I'm not really good with computer parts. So if this is in the wrong section, I'm sorry.

I'm looking to upgrade my Graphics cards because I'm buying the new SWIFT PG278Q monitor from Asus, and AMD graphic cards are not compatible with G-Sync.

So.. I've been looking for a new graphics card, and I kind of decided I was going to buy the "ASUS GeForce GTX 780 3GB PhysX CUDA".

But now, I just found out not all graphic cards are compatible with all motherboards.. so yeah.

This leads to my question, is the ASUS GeForce GTX 780 3GB PhysX CUDA graphics card compatible with my ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC SABERTOOTH 990FX (AM3r2)?

Thanks for answers, if there's anything you need to know, let me know!

Yes, that should be enough to power a GTX770. I am not familiar with chieftec, and the only review I could find on it rated it an 8/10. That was techpowerup, and they are known to be decent PSU testers. It has the watts and plenty of amps. I'd give it a go.

Yes, it is compatible with that motherboard.

However, there are two other important things you'll want to confirm.

1. Will the new card fit in your case? Usually the case manufacturers website will tell you maximum GPU length.
2. Can your PSU handle a new graphics card? Let us know the make/model and how many watts it is if you are unsure.

Wow, fast answer!

I guess the PSU is my powerthingy, how exactly do I find out my model? I've bene using SPECCY software to find out my componments, but the PSU is not there..

I'm pretty sure it will fit, I'm using a NZXT Phantom BIG Tower case!

You'll need to open up your case and look at the sticker on the PSU. They look something like this

This one is a BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 650W
