Hey guys.

So I'm defiantly still a novice when it comes to PC building. That being said this is my 2nd build and everything has gone much.. much smoother than my first build. Everything is running perfect BUT it keeps telling me I have no sound device attached. I have my cheap-o headset plugged into the back of the mobo (just a green headset and pink mic connectors) I checked my drivers, I tried plugging it into the front connector, went into my computer / manage and made sure windows audio is started. I have a Gigabyte z97mx- board that came with Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3, but I also have RealTek HD driver. Any thoughts? Thanks guys

Heres a link to the MOBO

You haven't installed the driver.

Go to this website and download them:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=...

First download and install "Realtek HD Audio Driver".

Restart your PC after the installation is complete.

Then go back to that website and download and install "Creative SB X-Fi driver".

Then restart your PC again.

The built-in sound card will then start working!

Wow... that worked haha. I installed the drivers from the disc, and checked for updates thru realtek and it said there where none. Thanks lace9. Have a good weekend!
