So I run minecraft very fine with about 200 fps but whenever i have my server open and i join, it goes down to 130 fps and it doesnt go up. Also when im playing single player mode and i explode about 40 tnt, my fps goes down to 5 and comes back up. Im curious if minecraft is cpu intensive or gpu intensive. Please help me understand this case.

When playing online with a server, it probably drops to 130FPS due to bandwidth rather than hardware-related limitations. For example, that means that everyone has to be updating their packets 130 times a second over the Internet, so a delay in receiving a packet or not fast enough speeds results in all of this. Also, a Minecraft server is a very CPU-intensive server, so it could very well actually be the processor holding you down.

Now that I think of it the processor is probably why, but no need to upgrade since 130FPS is way more than enough needed.
