I'll start with my system specs:

Mobo: m5a97 r2.0
GPU: AMD R9 290
CPU: FX-8320 @ 3.5ghz
RAM: Hyper X Blue 2x4gb
PSU: Corsair TX850w Modular
HDD: A single 1TB Barracuda and a Hitachi 160gb
4 chasis fans and a hyper evo cpu cooler

Ok, so my pc was acting up a few weeks ago and I decided that my gpu was the issue (the gtx760) so I rma'd and ended up having issues with the rma so I went ahead and just upgraded my gpu (r9 290). So I installed the card and the issues that were present before ceased. But, in that time some new issues have arisen.

Initially, when trying to enter the BIOS, it would just lock on a black screen. All components were running and the system posted, etc. but it hanged on a black screen. So, I thought maybe the new hardware causes a driver issue and I went ahead and updated my bios to the latest version. Well, now the ASUS screen (where it says press f2 or delete to enter BIOS) only flashes for a second before booting up windows. And, when I can enter the BIOS it is stretched (only half of what is usually on the bios screen shows and everything is enlarged) and even more concerning it is all blocky. By 'blocky' I mean that initially when I enter the BIOS i can only see the system clock while everything else is blacked out, and when I move the mouse over the black space it uncovers the actual bios page (so it becomes all blocky as the screen only shows what my mouse uncovers.

I can't click on anything either and it all seams very strange...

Keep in mind that my pc seams to be working completely fine aside from this... I can boot into Vista completely fine and run games, videos, programs, etc.

Somewhat unrelated, but I am trying to boot off the 160gb hdd as it has windows 7 on it which I am trying to copy over to my 1tb drive. But, obviously, I cannot boot of the drive because my BIOS isn't working which is why this is so frustrating
