on the maximus vii hero how can i get the on board dvi port to work

have new mother board maximus 7 hero, intel i7-4790 3.6Ghz and corsair vengeance 16gb tring to setup all 3 on board video out puts hdmi, dvi, and vga. can't get dvi to display. tried 2 different monitors, cables exchanged motherboard, different cpu still not able to use. any help greatly appreciated

Have you tried only using DVI without the other two plugged in? I can't see your CPU graphics being powerful enough to support 3 monitors.

yes i have tried just the dvi port, with dvi plugged in then power on then i get no display until i plug in anther port. i was using an i5 4690k 3.9ghz same issue.
