Hello all,

I just installed ubuntu 14.04 on a brand new pc whitout any OS installed previously. I wanted to try Ubuntu but now i want to go Windows 8. So this morning i just bough a windows 8 physical copy at staples. I saw maybe 120 way to do it (uninstall ubuntu and install windows), but none is working for me. Sometimes Ubuntu does not recognise characters (when i enter commands to install os uninstaller for exemple), or its just not working. I tryed to boot from Windows 8 cd installation, but it wont install, since it seems to have no partition available to install win 8. In the list i can see my 128gig ssd but it wont let me install on it, it is blocked or whatever. Im new to this. im lost now.

Because windows can't see Ubuntu/Linux partitions.

Boot Ubuntu livecd or liveusb. Use 'Gparted' to delete tour partitions.
Windows should be able to install to the empty partition.
