Hi everyone,

I just built my new computer. It's using an i5-4670k and an Asus VII Hero motherboard. The CPU is cooled by an h80i liquid cooler. It is awesome bone-stock but I would like to see what the CPU can really do. The only bad thing is that I have no idea how to overclock!

Here is my question..is there a step by step guide on how to overclock? I understand that each chip is different and it will take some time to determine just how fast mine can go.

Thanks!

The hero comes with built in OCing you can use to help you, suggest taking screen shots of BIOS at stock settings, then try the auto OC to 4.2 in BIOS, if stable get screenshots of those settings, then try at 4.4 and do same - can then look at the differences in what all it's changed for 4.2 and for 4.4 from stock, this can give you an idea of what all get's changed. Can also take what it sets and lower voltage a little at a time to get heat down some as it normally volts things a little higher than actually required
