Ever since I reinstalled Windows 7 changing power plans doesn't do a single thing. Usually there is a noticeable sound coming from the laptop when I'm changing plans, also the brightness changes and aero turns on/off, but now everything stays the same. Performance is exactly the same when switching between balanced and high performance and it is most obvious when I fire up any kind of game. I tried creating a custom power plan, but it didn't help. The laptop in question is Acer aspire 5560g.
