PC is still running after Shut Down.

When I shut down my PC, all it seems to do is cut the signal to my monitors. All my fans (cpu, gpu, case, etc) are still running. Is there a way to fix this problem? This has been a problem since November of last year. I'd try to be more descriptive but there isn't quite much more to say.

How do you shutdown your pc? Via Start Menu or with Case button?

I prefer to shut down my PC with the Start Menu. However, shutting it down with the case button still works.

Have you re-assigned your shutdown button at all? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows7/change-what-happens-when-you-press-the-power-button-on-your-computer eg to sleep
