Ok, so here's the deal.

I have a decent computer already. it does what I want it to, but its just a bit loud and outdated.

So I had a new case, mobo, and psu sent to me.

I plugged everything in according to the mobo's manual, Made sure everything was correct at least 20 times, and yet still, I can't seem to get it to turn on.

Now, here's a little more detail.

I had accidentally put at stand-off in that I didn't need, so that could have shorted something out, HOWEVER, even when that was going on, I was able to get the cpu and gpu fans to turn on, along with getting the power led to come on. The chasis fans refuse to start, and nothing actually worked, but after I went back in and checked things out, NOTHING worked.

Not the fans, not the LED, Nothing.
Well, not nothing. There's an LED on the mobo that turns green when power is running through the board. Regardless on whether it didn't start up, that light always turned on when I sent power through the psu.

So I know there's power running through the board, but I just don't understand why NOTHING is starting up, yet the mobo is getting power. I also don't have a tiny POST speaker, so I cant rely on that.

i went through the troubleshooting steps listed in that FAQ you're supposed to check with first when you can't boot, which is how I found the extra stand-off, but even after removing it there's nothing. I tried all my 4 sticks of perfectly working RAM, together, and each individually, to no end, and that didn't change anything either.

Did having it there make the mobo useless?

I hope thats the issue. I really do, because then I can just get that RMA'd and be done with it.

I would post my system specs, but I honestly don't have the energy to go looking for everything so I'll just run 'em off the top of my head:

Radeon HD 7870
i5 3570k
P8B75-M Motherboard
Corsair 600w PSU
Phantom 410 Case (This thing is a nightmare to navigate, instructions are the worst I've ever seen
-_-)
500gb WD HDD
1TB WD HDD

Also, not even sure if this goes here, so if It doesn't, anyone mind moving it?

So, tl:dr
Can't boot. Need help. I read the other guide already with nothing to show for it.

Solution
I fixed it. Turns out I had do the jumper trick to disable and re-enable ME (Whatever that means), then I used a usb stick to update my bios, which then led me to some RAM issues, which I sorted out by removing my old RAM sticks, and lastly, I had a chasis intrusion error, which was fixed by putting the side cover back on. Sorry to take up your time guys. Better to ask just in case, you know?

Disconnect everything from the motherbd except 20/24pin power, 4/8 pin cpu power and the case speaker (i dont think your motherbd has a built in speaker.) . Remove all hardware like GPU and ram. Disconnect the front panel header except for the PWR-SW (and the case speaker if there)
press the power button. It should begin beeping telling you that it cant find RAM. If it does then thats a good sign. If not then use a voltmeter and test the various voltages at the 20/24 and 4/8.

As I said, I don't have a way to check post because I don't have a speaker. When I said I didn't have one, I meant I don't own one, never have.
