I have a Dell Optiplex 755 Mini Tower.
I want to buy this card, the EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IDG3IDO/

Will it fit in if I cut the top bracket off to make it a single slot? If so, how do I cut it? What tools should I use?
And, is there a place where I can get the brackets separately?
Thanks.

You will have a better understanding of why I want to cut it.

You want to cut the card, or the case?

Don't slice pieces off the card.

USAFRet is correct. Don't cut up a GPU. The dual slots are both necessary for this card to work properly. A nice hardware designer at nVidia worked very hard to make the card work properly with the minimum number of slots used. If he/she was only able to fit it in 2 slots, why do you think you can make it work in 1?

Uhh, that graphics card should fit in the mini tower, why would you need to cut it?

Your case should have 4 slots on the back of it.
This will only take up 2 of them, it prevents you from using your 2nd PCI express port but you shouldn't need it anyways.

Oh I see,
It'd be extremely hard to cut that card. The card the post shows doesnt have a flushed CPU cooler/case on it like the 750ti does.
Do you even have any experience with cutting metal? if not, don't do it. You'd likely damage the card anyways.

Here, you can get a single slot GT740: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

As this appears to be your first foray into metalworking, don't.
Buy a different case.
