This is a Cyber Security project, and am having trouble getting Kali to install. I get a file system error even after changing every possible setting on every partition.

More about : tri boot kali linux tails linux mint cinnamon

You will need to provide the error, some more context about the partitioning scheme that you're trying to achieve and perhaps even your system specs, else we can only make blind guesses.

The error is that there is no root file system defined, even if I put the / in mount point, which it says to do in the online website for Kali
The partitioning scheme is 26 gigs per partitions, which is 78 gigs(3 partitions). The HDD is 80 gigs, but we won't be putting any files on this system, it will be constantly wiped... System specs aera single core, 4 gigs of DDR2, and an intel iGPU.

You must be wonder, why the heck am I doing it on such an old machine... Well, we need to have some testing with the software, and it also encourages people with an actual interest to join this class.

Before, I got Kali installed, then I wanted to do a tri boot...

EDIT: Just realised Tails is USB only, *facepalm*... Now I'm back to dual boot, how to I make it so that Kali installs on one partition only, as it wants to use the full HDD
