I built a new pc like a month ago and havent been able to play it still. I took it into a shop and he said he fixed it and he said the splash screen showed up. But when I brought it home nothing came up it said no signal. I called him and told him and he said he used a dvi cord and I used a vga to hdmi cord didnt work. Is it possibe that vga to hdmi cords dont work with my monitor. Ps my monitor only has vga on the back of it

hdmi is a digital signal and vga is analogue. The only way you could use a hdmi to vga chaord with your monitor is via a digital to analogue converter. Your best bet is to use a dvi to vga as your graphics will most likely have dvi-i which carries both digital and analogue signal.
