Got it! Thanks for putting me in the right path. Finally figured it out after several safe modes. reboots and downloads (no boot disk for W7, it has a hidden partition to reboot, repair, reinstall). So, to remove W7 SIDEBAR (64-BIT) -- it still remains in the hidden partition)
Press START ON WINDOW
In the SEARCH BOX, ENTER REGEDIT.EXE
HKEY_LOCALMACHINE
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS NT
CURRENT VERSION
WINLOGON:
Right press Winlogon, in the roll down menu, choose NEW --> QWORD (64-bit) Value - #2
(or DQWORD (32-bit) Value - #1)
This step allows you to take control over the System.
Erase the unwanted old file(s) and restart, W7 will repair itself to take back control.
