Just ordered a new rig week ago, waiting for delivery of all parts (in signature)

I hear windows 9 is due to be released end of this month so would rather not purchase windows 8 or load my SSD with an OS, only to be reformatted to another in a month+/-

Can I / Will it be fine to setup the system in UEFI and use it for general use with a Linux distro on an external bootable USB drive (with persistence) until then?
Will have 3-4 monitors running too

Thanks

Yup. Tends to be a little slow though, and usually has no passwords. You could just install it...

I doubt the full windows 9 will be released; at most developer previews would be my guess.

Who told you it would be out in a month? We won't see it until 2015 sometime. It will be shown in about a month, but not for sale or anything.

At best, we'll have a tech preview of Windows 9 in a few weeks. Full release not until sometime next year.
