I was happy to find the CPU compatibility list on the Gigebyte web site for a (nicely-priced) H97 mobo. I looked down the left and found my CPU. Looking at the box at the junction of my mobo (column) and my cpu (row), I was expecting a "Yes" (compatible) or "No" (incompatible). However, the answer was instead "F3." I could find no legend to explain what that meant.

Does anyone know what they mean by "F3?"

The top of the column says "Since Bios Version:"
Meaning the processor IS supported with the F3 bios and higher/newer (F4, F5, F6...)

Razor Z is correct in verifying the bios version first but they may also upgrade the bios for you too. Its worth asking unless you have an older socket 1150 cpu laying about that you could use just for the bios update.
