Hi, I've read on a few reviews they are a bit noisy and seen as though my old cpu never went above 45c using an arctic freezer 7 pro is it worth getting one?

There's a few cheap Corsair hydro series liquid coolers a H60, H80 and H100 priced from £35-£39 which is cheap. The H100 at £39 has a 240mm radiator. I do like the look of them but is that enough and are they actually noisy?
I won't be overclocking, will be playing some games in 3D and watching 3D movies as well as video editing and rendering but not all the time only occasionally. If there is no sound i may as well go for as that is what's bothering me i like a quiet system!

Cheers

Btw i do tan my PCs i get my monies worth anyway. I have an habit of having 20 apps open at the same time and sometimes over 100 tabs open in firefox, i read a lot and click links half way through reading something, so leave tabs open to go back but this happens many times and before i realize there's 109 tabs open!

What processor?
120mm water coolers arent very good in terms of performance, and 240mm ones are good at cooling, but are fairly loud, and only needed for hefty OCs.

If you want quiet and cheap something like the 212 EVO is nice.

You gave me my answer, thanks :)
I've got an i7-4790k not built yet got the parts just need a cooler and ssd then i'm done, i think anyway. I always miss something, my first build it was a graphics card, took me hours to build it and i was gutted when trying to plug the monitor in!
Yeah was thinking something like what i used to have i just think the water coolers look good. I don't like them big bulky air coolers like the Noctua D15 or Be Quiet Dark Rock they interfere with components!

Cheers
