I am having completely unplayable frame rates in PS2, despite the fact I have an FX 6300 paired with a GTX 760, so much [expletive deleted].

The recommended specs (Phenom II X6 or Intel i5):

Here's why i'm mad, the specs of the Phenom II X6 are worse than FX 6300.

What settings are you trying to run on, this game is very resource intensive.

On a side note, CPU boss and any of the boss sites are very unreliable sources. They get specs wrong, use synthetic benchmarks, and report false results quite often.

I've tried almost every single configuration possible, I get 20 - 40 fps regardless.

Can you list your full specs and temps?

Mabey when I buy an aftermarket cooler I can overclock a bit so I can actually be able to play the game

Where in CPU-Z do you find the temps? I can't seem to find it

Use a software such as coretemp or similar to monitor temps, CPU-Z typically wont report temps.
Nothing seems too wrong with your specs other than the PSU, CX series have lower quality caps that tend to fail often (Mine did 6 months in)

Ok, I did some testing in Minecraft, SEUS Ultra shaders, and a 128x128 resource pack (The reason I chose Minecraft because its the only game I am willing to play in windowed mode :/

Note: I am using the stock cooler and at under 50% load on various cores.

Tj Max: 80 Celcius (Whatever that is)
Min. 44 Celcius
Max. 48 Celcius

Try running prime95 so we can see your max load temps, just a minute or 2 of testing will be enough to get the general idea.
As for those temps, they seem good to go, the Tj max is thermal junction max, essentially the max safe temp for the processor.

I ran prime95 and it's basically locked @ 52 Celcius, jumping from 51 to 53 every 20 seconds or so

Maybe a software or driver issue, i can run med settings at 40 fps with my laptop at 768p. Or just bad optimization for AMD architecture.

You're probably right about the bad optimization part, but why would they have it as a recommendation? Mabey bad Vishera CPU optimization? Who knows

I would say so, Vishera is different than the phenom they have listed. To be honest, the optimization has been improved alot from when i first played. went from 40 fps on low to 40 fps on med. Overclocking would net you some fps.
