PC Gaming Mouse worth the money?

Hello,

So, a while back I built myself a gaming pc, and I splurged on everything except for a new mouse. I've been rocking a Logitech M325 http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Mouse-Designed-For-Web-Scrolling/dp/B005HQ514C/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1410059681&sr=8-5&keywords=logitech+m325 for years now, and was wondering if it was worth upgrading to a new "gaming" mouse.

I hold my mouse using a palm grip for those who are wondering.

And I in general don't play too many fps games, but I do play quite a bit of Dota 2 and Minecraft.
But, when I do play fps games, I can tell I'm missing headshots because my current mouse isn't sensitive/accurate enough.

And if I was to get a new mouse, I have narrowed my choices on mice down pretty far, (I prefer blue/black in color, because my entire pc build is blue and black) and I want some opinions on them. But feel free to suggest any that you think would be better for the money.

So, here is my cheaper choice, it has good reviews, fits my color scheme, and seems fine to me.

And I have my more expensive choice, which I don't know if it is "better" in any way, but I personally like Logitech, because not one product I have bought from them has ever failed me.

Is it worth the extra $40? Or should I stick with the Anker mouse while it's on sale?

So, what do you guys think? Is it time for an upgrade, or should I stick with my older mouse?

Contrary to what Payne said, DPI is not the extent of mouse quality. In fact, a high DPI is often meaningless over 3500 or 4000. Cheap mice that advertise high DPIs sometimes...

Well, would it be comparable to or better than the mice I listed above? I am fully willing to spend a bit of extra money if it means I will be getting a better mouse. Because if I have learned anything, its that in the world of PC gaming, you never cheap out on anything.

Cheap mice that advertise high DPIs sometimes cheap out on other components, leading to microstutter over a certain DPI. Anker is considered a good name though, so I think you'd be fine with either the Anker CG100 or the Logitech G400S. I listed the G400S in case you wanted a Logitech option cheaper than the Proteus.

The Proteus seemed pretty small when I tested one, perhaps too small. Then again, I do have long fingers.

Alright, this answers my question fully. I'm probably going to just go for the Anker mouse, just out of preference of it having blue LED's on it over the G400s.

Thank you for your time!
