accss denied error

I am trying to load my backed up pictures from my Passport usb 3.0 750gb to my laptop and I am getting an error stating access is denied. It shows the 6,000 plus pictures so they are not gone but I cannot get to them.

Hello, normally USB are not equipped with a "lock" feature as opposed to SD cards. Try searching if your USB has a "lock'' on it and slide it or push it opposite to the "lock word".

If not you could also right-click on your USB in My computer and click properties. You can free to change any settings but not the format setting.

Try right clicking on the drive and then click on Properties. Click on the Security tab and look at permissions to make sure you have full control permission. If not, click on Edit, then find your user name and click in the box next to Full control under allow. Let us know if you have any problem doing that or if access is still denied.
