Hi

I have put together a build and want some feedback on it i.e. will it work? good build etc etc.

Uses: Gaming (Far Cry 4, War Thunder, future games high to max settings), Uni work (Solid works, Visual Studio) and casual use.

if you have suggestions for changes please feel free to post.

My budget is $1500 NZD which is around $1250 USD and cannot afford to go over.

If the build is good I will be looking at getting it this week.

Note:

I live in New Zealand and I am looking at getting parts from Newegg ( recently started shipping to NZ) and Amazon ( if it is free to ship, then I will be getting GPU from here as Newegg doesn't ship items with deals to NZ). These sites have better value than NZ sites as a part from NZ stores costs more than what it would from a US outlet i.e for GPUs slap on at least another $50 to $100 USD making it far more expensive. Therefore, any recommendation's made must be from sites that ship to NZ only. Just because it may be good price in US doesn't mean I can get in NZ stores for same value.

Thanks in advance for feedback

Solution
ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 is an excellent motherboard! And FSP Aurum 650 is a good psu.
GTX770 is a great gpu for 1080p gaming. As good as R9 280X. Let price be your guide.
An excellent built by all means!
Congrats :D

This is a very good gaming build from local sites. imho you should consider as a good option:

Thanks for feedback filippi. The reason why I was looking to buy from newegg is that it is overall slightly cheaper. I'm trying to keep it pretty tight in terms of the budget and I reckon can get a better build from Newegg than what I would from a NZ store for the same price. Below is basically the same build form NZ stores (slight difference):

NZ Store Build:

PCPartPicker part list: http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/ZJ4dMp
Price breakdown by merchant: http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/ZJ4dMp/by_merchant/

Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($243.79 @ PB Technologies)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($128.79 @ PB Technologies)
Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($90.25 @ PC Force)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($75.05 @ PC Force)

As you can see the US/NZ build is cheaper and slightly better in terms of larger SSD, faster memory and includes monitor. Shipping is also free from Newegg (not sure about Amazon) and if I buy parts as single purchases I do not need to worry about GST on imports.

Ok. This is your US build, right?

I've decided to buy in NZ it's less hassle. I like the build you suggested but there are few things that aren't available in NZ. The Gigabyte gaming 5 board isn't available so was wanting to know what board you would recommend. Is the ASUS board I chose a good choice? I was also considering Asrock Extreme 4 board which is $20 NZD cheaper which is better?

Also the seasonic power supply is not available in NZ. I was considering the Antec HCG 620 or the corsair cx 600W or FSP Aurum s 650W. Is there any other types you would suggest?

As for the graphics card, the sapphire card is $420 NZD and was wanting to know if it would be better to go $60 more and get the EVGA GTX 770 2GB card instead
