Is my GPU Fried?

Their are no black speck or smoke but when i go into games i keep getting 2-3 second lag spikes starting at 10 seconds then the game gose seethrough, their are no specks or black or burn damage on the graphix card, any ideas? My gfx is a radeon 7770 xfx
