I just bought and installed a brand new graphics card and my Windows Experience Index actually went down. How is that even possible?

New card:
GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Old card:
GeForce GTX 580

My graphics and gaming graphics scores were both 7.9 with my old card. With my new card, both scores dropped to 7.7. Could someone tell me the explanation for the drop? Thank you for your time.

gTX 580 to GTX 750 ti is a slight downgrade. Use gaming benchmarks and not Windows WEI.

750 is a downgrade from 580? I thought the higher the number the better. So what would be an upgrade from GTX 580?

Also, I've always gotten Geforce, but I've been wondering about Radeon. Is Radeon better than Geforce? My price range is between $100 and $250. What, in that price range would be better? Any suggestions?

GTX 760 or higher is consider a upgrade from a GTX 580.
R9 270 or higher for AMD side.

If you still unhappy with your GTX 750Ti, try to get a refund if possible.
