R9 280x Or R9 290?

Hello! Someone said in another forum that I should get a 280x instead of a 290, witch one should I get? I will be using this build for gaming and the rest of my build can be found here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9jGG23. I will be using a 1440P 27 inch monitor aswell, thanks!

r9 290 is always better than r9 280x and for 1440 resolution you should go for the r9 290 it have 4 gb vram for bigger resolution.

of course r9 290 is better than r9 280x
but my friend 8Gb RAM is not enouth for r9 290 you need 16Gb

who said you that r9 290 or r7 250 8 gb ram is enough for all of them and more ram doesn't means more speed and more fps for current demanding games 4 gb ram is minimum and 6 gb is recommended so 8 gb is enough and he will barely reach 5 gb in most of the games.

I will get 16 in a couple months, just want to make my system make sure everything works, then ill order a 16 set to get 24 in total

wrong r9 290 can work on a 4 gb ram there is no such thing as more ram for more strong GPU.

If u put a 8 gb or a 64 gb with a GPU you will get the same FPS.
graphic card has nothing to do with RAM.
