My wired connection keeps becoming an unidentified network.

So basically I have had this computer for just over a year now and have never had this problem. It is something that has literally started in the last 4/5 days.

I turn on my computer, everything is working perfectly fine, then on average after about 20 minutes my wired connection will have no internet access. I've tried testing it to see whether it is certain applications triggering it, for example I thought it may be steam or battlenet. But regardless after 10-30 minutes I will lose my internet access. I restored my computer to the last time it worked which was the beginning of the week and that has not changed anything.

I cannot figure out what the problem might be, I do use a TP-LINK homeplug for my wired connection, I have a 3 of them in total and with all 3 the same thing happened. Yet they work for the other computers around the house so I do not think it is that. All my wired PC's are working and all wireless devices are remaining connected. it is just my computer having this problem.

I have searched the web and cannot figure it out as there seem to be slightly similar problems but never the exact same problem hence this thread.

Even though I would consider myself to understand computers to a certain extent, basic language would still be appreciated or as simple as can be.

Much Appreciated!

p.s. I would just like to point out that I have just restarted my PC again and gone to network and sharing and the active network now has changed from Home Network to a Unidentified Public Network. I did not change this at all. I am using my laptop as I cannot connect to the forums for the reasons above.

Solution
what is the temperature at the time the network card stops working?

are you using an on-board video card?

if it is heat related issue, the network might work until the chipset gets to warm.
The computer lost his assigned IP address.

have you attached the laptop to the PC's network cable abd tested the network connection for 20+ min?

it could be a faulty controller chip for the network card. do you have a PCI or PCIe network card you could plug in and test with?

Just thought to try this about 30 minutes ago and my laptop is even coming up as an identified network with no network access. Could it be the TP link that I am using for the wired connection? Not sure why this would suddenly stop working especially as the TP link still has a wireless signal working.

I am currently connected on my laptop using the wired connection. It's whether it stays connected now.

I can still connect to the TP-Links using tablets and phones around the house. And they have a separate SSID. So far my laptop is still connected using the wired connection through the TP link. May leave it for an hour and then swap it back to my Desktop. The only thing I have done though was to move the plug the TP link is plugged into. Just put it into the other side of the room.

Well it has now been 30 minutes since my computer has been connected through the wired and its still working. I will swap it back to my desktop soon and see whathappens.

So it could be my network card? after a year of having it?!

Okay well it worked for over an hour on my laptop with the wired connection. I have put it back into my PC so it is whether it will now stay connected.

If it is the network card, would it not connect at all? as it does connect at the start, it just disconnects after a certain amount of time. Surely if it wasnt working it would not connect at the start even.
