Rumor is that the GTX880 and GTX870 will launch in September.
This close, I would wait to see what is offered.

If you need to buy earlier, a GTX780ti superclock is within your budget and is as good as they get for a single gpu.

Okay thanks, I've already heard that rumor like ten times this day plus it's probably not going to be called 880.

Well if the 800 series will launch this month then it's worth the wait.

But if you do need something immediate, then a get a GTX 780 ti for low resolutions or a GTX 780 6GB for high resolutions.

High and low resolutions ? *Laughs out loud* the 780 ti is faster than the 780 and the gigabytes won't affect your resolutions that much, please don't pass out false information.

I know that sounds funny, it did to me the first time but hear me out.

Maxing out games today takes a lot of vram, which is why 3GB and under isn't good enough for MAXing out games.

So what will happen with the gtx 780 ti is you try to max the game out, but when you do you will get stuttering, which in my opinion is worse than a fps drop.

However, when you look at the gtx 780 6GB model, you will have a fps decrease because of the lower gpu power, but you won't have that stuttering effect.

All this is above 1080P resolutions.
