In addition to the Z97 MB, system is built with 16gig Viper Extreme DDR3 1866 memory, 4790K CPU, I have disconnected ALL SATA Drives and peripheral equipment to eliminate potential issues during start up. Truly bare bones start up. Memory was from a known good system in use 2 days ago, CPU was sealed retain package from Intel (not oem bulk tray)

Yes, my new MB won't boot past the BIOS screen. Can't get into CMOS or any further than bios screen. I posted that info and then a few seconds later posted the build info thinking it could help someone help me. Ideas and thoughts are GREATLY appreciated! When I saw postings about needing a BIOS update for 4790K CPU I figured I better ask the people who are more familiar with this board.
