Cpu - intel core i5 4670k
Cooler - CM V6GT

Overclock - 4.3ghz @ 1.245v

Idle temps - 40s (Im a little worried)
Prime95 stretch test 85-100.

What should i do ? Stick with this overclock ? (No game streches the cpu like prime95 does)

Or under clock the cpu ?

Main thing is that i want best performance possible in games.

Atm im with a gtx 570 but will upgrade to a 290x or a 780ti soon.

More about : achieve good overclock

1.245 is too high. Is your system stable with a lower voltage?

For a 4.3ghz , 1.245 was the best i could do.

Will i lose ingame performance if i lower clock down to 4.00 ghz ?

your voltage is a huge issue you can overclock that processor to around 4.4ghz with a voltage of 1.212v.

I recommend the H100I which is just fabulous for keeping a low cpu temp. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ZN2NH6/?tag=pcpapi-20

You shouldn't see too much of a drop if you revert. With that processor you should overclock it imo. Can I ask how are you overclocking it and what kind of mobo do you have?

BTW you should definitely revert the overclock.

No, you wont lose in-game performance if you go back to 4.0 GHz. Well it is not like you can feel that half a frame per second. I am able to get 4 GHz on 1.09 vCore on a Sandy. Your Haswell should need less for 4 GHz.Guess you got a lemon oc chip. And no, spending money on H100i, or any AIO liquid cooler (specially from Corsair) is a waste. High-end air coolers outperform AIO water coolers for much lower price.

Right now im with the CM V6GT. Room temps are pretty warm and pc is locked in a corner surrounded by furniture. That may be the cause of these temps because my GPU is running pretty hot for idle as well. I will clean it tomorrow with compressed air.

Which cooler do you suggest from these ?

Cryorig R1 Ultimate, Noctua D14, Phanteks TC14.

All of them outperform Corsair H100i while being less noisy and costing less.

And that is a pretty expensive website you have chosen. In which country are you?

I live in Malta. There is a 8% discount on every item on that website. Which one do you suggest from that website? I want best possible temperatures at about 1.3v or less.

So the Noctua NH-D14 gives better temps than the Corsair H100i Hydro ?

Is Noctua NH-D14 good for 1150 socket ?

Yes, high-end air coolers are better than Corsair AIO water coolers. The 100i outputs so much noise to match air coolers, that you can even hear in the other room with a closed door.

I suggest one of these. For price / performance the Cryorig coolers are the best. But be careful and check if your case can fit them and if you have tall RAM sticks, then the Cryorig R1 Universal is your only option. Those are pretty large coolers. Also, be careful during installation, these coolers are pretty heavy. It is no problem if all is mounted correctly and you don't throw or drop your computer on the ground from a meter or more, but then again, dropping a PC from that much will be a problem regardless.

You can fit all of those coolers in a CM Storm Stryker. What about your RAM? what is it?

Team Elite 4x2 1333mhz. Also , should i upgrade the ram to a 2400mhz model for better performance ?

I think im going for the Noctua. All the reviews are positive !

2400 MHz RAM will not bring you any performance for the price you pay.

As far as it goes for the cooler - I will always pick Cryorig or Phanteks or Thermaltake on top of Noctua.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with 1.245 Vcore and it can even be further increased up to a max of 1.300 V.

I have the Noctua NH D14 and it is an excellent cooler! Well designed, excellent quality, great performance, and like you said, the reviews are positive.
